  • Members - We had 10 participants in today’s meeting representing businesses, residents, and community leaders.

Safety/Security

  • Luke has been keeping tabs on the 911 call log and has met with the new police chief. The new captain for our area works 12am-7am shift.

    • Vehicles with loud speakers, revving engines, and zooming around.

    • Will there be extra patrols in the neighborhood this summer? We will need to keep directing complaints through the online security form to be able to justify our need for patrol to the SPD.

  • There have been a number of construction vehicles “parking” in the square working on the Koolakians Building.

    • We will be reaching out to the building owner about.

  • There are several reports of parking meter issues on the 200 and 300 block of South Salina.

    • Broken meters need to be reported to city line.

Beautification (Chair: Betsy Elkins)

  • Our planters have some fresh flowers in them and they look great!

  • The fountain is closed and may not be repaired this year. The city has asked for some of the concrete barrier planters to be moved to surround the fountain.
